The Louisiana Department of Education recognizes that great teachers and school leaders are critical to student success. Annually, the LDOE, in partnership with Dream Teachers and the Louisiana Association of Principals, honors the state’s most exceptional educators through the Teacher and Principal of the Year program. The program honors teachers and leaders who ensure that students meet rigorous, Common Core State Standards-aligned goals and use the Compass process to continuously improve instructional and leadership practice.
Districts/charters may nominate up to three candidates, one per division, for both Teacher and Principal of the Year. Application materials are now available HERE and should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5:00PM on January 17, 2013.
Please talk with your district/charter authority today to learn more on their process for submitting applications to the LDOE. We hope that you will be a part of this exciting process this year.
Please send any questions to Joni Lacy @ email@example.com.
